Global Data Analyst - Role Description:

The Global Data Analyst takes ownership of Dermalogica-s Global and International reporting and analytics ecosystem across all markets and channels. This role is responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing dashboards in Tableau and Power BI, working with IT and the market teams to ensure data quality and accuracy across global sell-in and sell-out data sets, and delivering meaningful, actionable analysis that drives decision-making. Success in this role means empowering stakeholders across the business with reliable, timely insights - benchmarking performance vs. target, vs. prior year, and vs. market - while also diving deeply into key topics to uncover growth opportunities and mitigate risks.

Our analytics agenda is moving at pace and this role is central to achieving our goal of industry-leading, globally consistent reporting. Key priorities include establishing a standard data model within a future-proofed environment, continuing to develop and consolidate analytic tools in Tableau and Power BI, ensuring data integrity and governance across markets, and building analytical capability across the wider business. We need an inquisitive individual who can drive this agenda forward as our global footprint and channel mix continue to expand.

The right person for this role demonstrates a passion and curiosity for identifying and interpreting trends within complex data sets to deliver actionable insights, while also driving efficiencies in existing processes.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Ownership, Development & Maintenance of Reports & Dashboards (Tableau/Power BI)

Own and maintain all global and international reports and Tableau Prep Flows (currently transitioning to Power BI) - including scheduled data refreshes, proactive troubleshooting, validating data quality and accuracy, and updating dashboards with relevant new information (e.g. new innovations, markets, channels).

Take full ownership of sell-out data integrity and act as the primary bridge between business users and IT for sell-in data queries. Drive ongoing simplification and process streamlining across all reporting.

Provide ad hoc analytical support for global departments, market GMs and senior leadership, responding to dashboard queries and delivering timely, accurate data across markets and channels.

Design and build new Power BI dashboards end-to-end - from data engineering and modelling through to visualization - with a focus on question-led, actionable insights and performance benchmarking (vs. target, vs. prior year, vs. market).

Ensure global and regional departments have standardized, user-friendly analytical tools and dashboards for self-sufficient performance management - including monitoring usage, retiring unused workbooks, and keeping all reports accessible in the proper formats.

Review current distribution of reports in Excel and determine what can be simplified/automated in Power BI.

Data Analytics

Deliver meaningful, actionable analysis across all global markets and channels, providing insights on performance vs. target, vs. prior year, and vs. market benchmarks to inform strategic decision-making.

Build analytical models to assess how new business opportunities impact existing channels across markets, highlighting potential risk factors and identifying growth opportunities based on cross-market performance and sister brand insights.

Provide monthly innovation tracking updates across markets as input to global performance calls, analysing launch performance vs. expectations and identifying trends by region and channel.

Partner with International, Marketing, DTC, and Retail teams to synthesize complex, multi-market data into clear business insights. This includes full-funnel marketing metrics, advertising ROI analysis (e.g. ROAS across digital platforms), and channel KPIs such as conversion rates, new vs. returning customers, and sell-in/sell-out performance.

Experience and Competencies Required:

Bachelor-s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics or another related field.

3-5 years of previous analytical experience

Proficient in SQL, Tableau or Power BI, and Excel, with hands-on experience building visualizations from large data sets and multiple data sources. Additional BI/ETL tools, automation skills (Python, Power Automate), or programming knowledge are a plus.

Tech savvy with an open mindset about learning new technologies, systems, and tools

Strong ownership mindset with excellent initiative and follow-through; a track record of proactively identifying opportunities and driving end-to-end solutions in a fast-paced environment

Strong leadership and communication skills (planning, relationship building, influencing), storytelling with data, influencing without authority, and commercial acumen

Analytical mindset with the ability to dive deep into complex, ambiguous problems, perform root cause analysis, and ask the right questions to deliver solution-focused outcomes

Courage to challenge established norms in a constructive way and drive change

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized with a willingness to learn autonomously
