Emergency Communications Supervisor
The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office is looking for an Emergency Communications Supervisor to oversee and supervise our Emergency Communications Operators. This hands‑on supervisory role includes assigned shifts and requires availability in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays.
Salary Range: $93,671.74 - $112,406.80 annually.
Responsibilities
Mastery-level knowledge of Emergency Communications Operator duties and serve as a Communications Training Officer when necessary.
Exercise direct and indirect supervision of Emergency Communications Operators.
Provide administrative support to the Communications Manager, collaborating on schedules, policies, procedures, training and goals of the Communications Center.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public, staff, other criminal justice agency personnel, county government staff and volunteers.
Learn applicable Sheriff’s Office policies and procedures pertaining to the dispatch of law enforcement, fire and medical services for the county and user agencies.
Qualifications
Two (2) years of increasingly responsible duties in a communications center; experience working for a law enforcement agency preferred.
High School diploma or GED required.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, CPR, EMD, NCIC/CCIC certifications required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in employee development practices such as training, mentoring and performance evaluations.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, exercise good judgment and prioritize tasks.
Adapts to emerging technologies to enhance team collaboration and productivity.
Honest, ethical professional who can guide a team through changes and challenges.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
No felony conviction or convictions involving domestic violence; no use of illegal drugs within past five years.
