WBS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Communications Intern in our Milwaukee, WI location. The hourly rate for this internship is $20.30 with paid company holidays.

Job Summary
We employ students for summer and year‑round opportunities to gain hands‑on experience in a professional, creative environment, focusing on marketing, print and digital content under mentorship. Student interns gain proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, learn brand consistency, manage projects and produce work for portfolios, bridging academic learning with industry standards.

Job Responsibilities

Support staff on projects while developing design skills, technical expertise, interpersonal and communication skills, and project management skills.

Build working knowledge within the field through exposure to a variety of daily tasks and projects.

Collaborate with the creative team to create or modify design assets to meet the specific requirements of each project. Projects may include brochures, advertisements, fact sheets, social media graphics, PowerPoints and videos.

Ensure that all designs adhere to industry standards and brand guidelines.

Prepare print‑ready files and assets, including file preflight, color correction and image optimization.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma, GED or HSED.

Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree or higher.

Minimum GPA of 2.8.

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.

Experience creating or editing videos a plus but not required.

Pay Range
Minimum: $20.30. Maximum: $23.43.
