Position Overview

Under the direction of Supply Chain leadership, the Master Data Coordinator supports the creation, maintenance, and governance of supply chain master data to ensure operational continuity and data accuracy. This role performs a range of routine to semi-routine tasks within established procedures, applying company policies and data governance standards.

The Master Data Coordinator collaborates with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Information Technology to coordinate and maintain data required for planning and execution activities. This position contributes to data integrity, supports operational workflows, and assists in identifying process improvements to enhance system reliability and business performance.

Job Description

Major Accountabilities:

Create and maintain master data records (e.g., materials, bills of materials, and recipes) in enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, MES) in alignment with established procedures

Perform routine data entry, updates, and validation activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with data governance standards

Coordinate the creation of process orders and support transactional data requirements for supply chain and manufacturing operations

Liaise with cross-functional teams (e.g., Document Control, Quality, Manufacturing) to request, track, and maintain batch records and related documentation

Support master data requests and ensure timely resolution of data-related inquiries or issues

Assist in identifying data discrepancies and participate in investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions

Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to data management and documentation

Maintain documentation and records in alignment with internal standards and audit requirements

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data processes, workflows, and system efficiency

Support business and system-related projects by providing master data expertise and executing assigned activities

Perform other duties as assigned to support supply chain operations

Background Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel

Experience working with data entry, data validation, or system-based processes

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and/or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)

Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industry environments

Familiarity with data governance practices and documentation control processes

Specific Skills and Competencies

Data Management & Accuracy: Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure data integrity and consistency across systems

Coordination & Collaboration: Liaise with cross-functional teams to support data needs and resolve routine operational issues

Problem Solving: Identify discrepancies, analyze data, and apply judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate actions

Communication: Explain data-related processes and requirements clearly to stakeholders with varying levels of technical understanding

Time Management: Perform effectively under pressure by managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines

Process Adherence: Adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in a compliant environment

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and participate in improvement initiatives

Analytical Skills: Gather and review data to support reporting, issue resolution, and decision-making

Adaptability: Support routine operations as well as assist with new assignments, projects, or changing business needs
