Food52 is seeking a Shooter/Editor who understands both storytelling and social platforms. This role will shoot and edit content across our video series, working closely with producers, chefs, and talent to create compelling food videos designed for digital audiences.
This person should be digitally native, comfortable moving between iPhone and professional cameras, and capable of editing quickly for social platforms.
Key Responsibilities Shoot video content for Food52 series, social content, and editorial projects
Work with both mobile (iPhone) and DSLR / mirrorless camera systems
Edit video using Adobe Premiere and the Adobe Creative Suite
Collaborate with producers and creative leads to shape story and pacing
Deliver edits optimized for social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
Capture high-quality audio and lighting setups for food shoots
Manage footage organization and media storage
Qualifications 3+ years shooting and editing digital video
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Adobe Creative Suite
Experience working with DSLR or mirrorless cameras
Strong understanding of social video pacing and storytelling
Comfortable working on both small, fast shoots and larger productions
Nice to Have Experience infood or lifestyle content
Motion graphics experience (After Effects)
Color correction and sound mixing skills
Schedule Hybrid schedule of 3-4 days per week in our office in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, but subject to change on a week to week basis depending on the needs of the business.
Salary Range $60,000 - 65,000
The range provided is based on what we reasonably expect to pay for this job as of the time of posting. The actual salary offered will be determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, job-related knowledge, skills, geographical location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
