Full-time or Part-time (hourly) Speech-Language Pathologist
Thinking Organized is a dynamic practice consisting of Speech-Language Pathologists and Educational Mentors servicing clients in MD, DC, and VA in-person and virtually. Our practice is growing, and we are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team.
About the Position:
Provide direct services to elementary through college students and adults with language-based learning disabilities, receptive and expressive language disorders, ADHD, dyslexia, and/or executive functioning challenges
Meet with clients at our office in Chevy Chase, MD, at a client’s school, or virtually to provide direct services
Maintain relationships with parents and families through frequent communication of client progress
Read speech and language evaluations and neuropsychological reports, and use this information to develop specialized treatment plans for clients
Supplement evaluations with speech and language testing, as needed
Write annual reports summarizing K-12 and college student progress
Manage client appointments and scheduling via Microsoft Outlook and our practice management software system, Therapy Appointment
Evening work hours are required

About You:
Must hold ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in MD and DC is required. VA is also highly preferred.
Knowledge of HIPAA legislation and other privacy laws, and experience working with sensitive and personal patient records and information
Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with language disabilities, executive functioning weaknesses, literacy, and written language.
Have an enthusiastic and engaging work style
Punctual, organized, and a team player. We are a close-knit team!
Reliable personal transportation or ability to get to and from our office and/or a client’s school on public transportation (our office is on the Red Line metro)
