Description

Looking for a motivated Night Yard Jockey to join our team in Austin!!!
Duties/Responsibilities:

Follow company policy and procedures while driving commercial vehicles.
Preparing and maintaining a report of the daily activities.
Ensure all trucks comply with the DOT standards and proper documentation.
All repairs' procedures must comply with OSHA regulations.
Effective and respectful communication with all personnel.
Ensure that all vehicles preventive maintenance are completed in a timely manner.
Continue to work on Whip Around and cooperate to help capture all repair information to work orders including the three C's (compliant, cause and correction).
Report all gas usage to Fleet Manager and Transportation Manager.
Be able to perform all yard jockey's duties including mileage and hour reports.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Bilingual preferred in English and Spanish
Effective time management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Understanding of managerial, administrative, and technical practices and procedures for a successful vehicle maintenance program.
Review trucks documents, registration, DOT annually, insurance card and accident procedures, inspections etc.
Education and Experience:

Valid driver's license.
Work Conditions

Personnel are required to be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance are required. Ability to stand, walk, and move rapidly for entire work shift. Ability to bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. Ability to do repetitious arm movements above and below shoulder level required for selection of product.
Ability to use and operate related work aides to include manual or motor driven pallet jacks and hand trucks. Personnel are expected to be alert and behave responsibly around forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks.
Mental alertness is necessary to ensure safe and accurate completion of work activities. Ability to learn proper selection procedures, shipping and receiving techniques, computerized inventory procedures and safe operating techniques of manual or motor driven pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks.
Personnel will need to adapt to a multi-temperature work environment. Refrigeration Temperature 34F-70F
