Description
1. Work with assigned campers to promote safety, independence, exploration and integration into the camp community. Facilitate camper self-esteem through positive interactions and building a relationship of trust. |
2. Demonstrate positive behavioral management techniques and communicate with individuals in a person-centered, age appropriate manner. Inform the Head Counselor and other camp staff about health, behavioral, and programmatic issues that occur. |
3. Actively participate in the camp program with assigned group by supporting campers at whatever level they may need. |
4. Assist Activity leaders in program facilitation and demonstrate a positive attitude about all camp activities Live cooperatively within the camp community and assist with evening cabin or program responsibilities.. |
5. Complete assigned notes, daily logs, and other documentation thoroughly, accurately and in a timely manner. Attend and actively participate in required trainings, team meetings, and supervision meetings. |
6. Develop free time activities that promote team work, positive interaction and personal growth. |
7. Adhere to State of Maryland, PATH, American Camp Association, CARF, and Melwood policies and procedures. |
