JOB SUMMARY: The Material Planner is responsible for planning, ordering, and expediting materials to support manufacturing operations. This role ensures timely material availability, coordinates with suppliers and cross-functional teams, and supports logistics and trade compliance activities to maintain efficient production flow and inventory control. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Plan, order, and expedite materials required for manufacturing processes • Maintain proactive communication with suppliers regarding order status, packaging issues, and EDI concerns • Collaborate with logistics and trade compliance teams to ensure timely material delivery • Provide updates and information to cross-functional teams including operations, purchasing, supplier quality, and engineering • Develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases for tracking and analysis • Analyze data, audit system performance, and monitor supplier delivery metrics • Implement and support production scheduling systems • Coordinate inventory levels based on manufacturing capacity and demand • Resolve supplier-related issues including delivery, pricing, and procedural concerns • Track and manage data related to new product introductions • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to support operations • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and procedures • Interface with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders as needed • Participate in quality procedures, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives • Perform additional duties as required and travel as needed REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree (required) • Proven experience in material planning or similar role • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Experience working with cross-functional teams and suppliers • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis • Understanding of manufacturing processes and inventory management • Strong communication and organizational skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Knowledge of safety policies and compliance standards PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Previous experience with Oracle APCC • Experience working with logistics and trade compliance teams • Associate degree or additional relevant work experience Education: Bachelors Degree
