Job Summary
The TIG Welding Technician is responsible for performing gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW/TIG) operations on various metal components, using both manual and automatic welding methods. The role includes preparing, assembling, and fusion welding metal parts according to specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and assemble metal components for welding.
Perform TIG welding operations using manual and automatic techniques.
Ensure proper handling and disposal of weld rods and consumables.
Follow quality systems, standard operating procedures, and safety protocols.
Maintain housekeeping and organization of the work area.
Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical training or prior experience in TIG welding preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and welding instructions.
Knowledge of welding procedures, safety, and equipment operation.
Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Primary work location: Manufacturing floor.
Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling/crouching, and exposure to noise.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
