Overview

CNC MACHINIST* (2nd SHIFT, Mon.-Fri. 2 PM - 10:30 PM)+ overtime, may including Saturdays
Salary Range: $19.00 - $30.00* + $2.00 shift premium for 2nd shift.
*Pay and job title will depend on skill level and experience.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Responsible for performing production and manufacturing operations to meet daily production requirements.

  • Maintain a safe work environment by following safety procedures and actively contributing to workplace safety initiatives.

  • Set up and operate CNC lathe and mill machines using existing programs and tooling, from minor setup through full operation.

  • Manufacture parts and tools using various materials, primarily aluminum and steel.

  • Monitor machinery and inspect in-process and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and production requirements.

  • Make machine offsets and equipment adjustments as necessary.

  • Work effectively both independently and within a team-oriented environment.

  • Meet or exceed Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) supporting safety, compliance, Six Sigma quality, on-time delivery (OTD), and financial objectives.

  • Provide backup support and assistance to other department personnel as needed.

  • Perform basic daily machine maintenance and housekeeping as required.




WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM. REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of one year of hands-on experience operating CNC lathe and mill machines.


  • High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience and/or formal technical training.

  • Ability to comply with safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficient in interpreting blueprints, specifications, and related documentation to ensure products meet required standards.

  • Ability to edit and adjust existing CNC programs.

  • Strong hands-on problem-solving skills to identify production issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Experience with quality inspection and metrology, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, dial indicators, and visual inspection methods.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, routings, and shop aids.

  • Strong mathematical aptitude and problem-solving skills.


  • Effective communication skills and basic computer literacy.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while making timely decisions.

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks on a daily basis with consistency and accuracy.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Basic computer knowledge.

  • Willingness to work overtime, including Saturdays, up to 20 hours per week as needed.
