Rytec Corporation, a division of Nucor, is hiring a Mechanical Assembler in Jackson, WI. This role will perform final assembly of industrial door systems by following production schedules, blueprints, and bills of materials in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical assembly experience, the ability to read blueprints, and can safely handle physically demanding tasks while maintaining high attention to detail. Compensation & Benefits Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance Retirement plans including 401(k) and Roth options with profit sharing and performance-based bonuses Work-life and growth benefits including paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement, scholarships, and employee stock programs Qualifications & Requirements Strong mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and bills of materials Capability to lift 50–75 pounds frequently and perform physical tasks such as standing, kneeling, and squatting Experience safely operating a forklift Proficiency using measuring tools including tape measures and other standard instruments Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios, and percentages Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in a team environment Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot assembly issues Some electrical assembly experience preferred High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience Commitment to workplace safety standards, policies, and procedures Key Responsibilities Perform final assembly of door systems and manufactured parts according to daily production schedules Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and assembly instructions to ensure accuracy and efficiency Pull and stage components including hardware, weldments, and small parts for assembly Install motors, chains, straps, and other components per bill of materials Inspect finished assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy before staging Clean, label, and organize completed products and work areas Monitor inventory levels and report shortages as needed Troubleshoot assembly or component issues to maintain workflow Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards About the Company – Nucor Corporation Nucor Corporation, the parent company of Rytec Corporation, is North America’s largest producer of steel and steel products and a leader in sustainable manufacturing.
