Position: Certified Veterinary Technician
Starting Salary:
$21-25 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications and licensure
Schedule:
Four 10‑hour shifts. Monday‑Thursday now with potential Friday‑Sunday shifts in 2026

Who you are
Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) in Oregon
required
or ability to obtain/transfer license within 3 months of hire
Degree from an AVMA‑accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred
3 years' experience as a veterinary technician or assistant in a veterinary clinical setting
preferred
Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
Passion for working with animals and their owners
Experience with proper animal handling and restraint,
exotic and pocket pet experience a plus
Understand the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
Obtain accurate and thorough medical histories
Perform basic exam procedures
Skilled in venipuncture and intravenous (IV) catheter placement (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular)
Able to perform digital radiology (X‑ray) including positioning
Perform complete dental procedures, including digital X‑rays, scaling, polishing, charting
Confident with general anesthesia and surgical assisting (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique, recovery)
Perform medical math, accurately calculate, draw up and administer drugs
Laboratory skills including microscope (ear and fecal cytology); automated in‑house machines
Excellent client communication/education
Ability to perform Technician appointments independently, including accurate medical record documentation
