Machinist
PrideStaff is seeking a machinist who lays out, fits, and assembles parts to make repair cutting tools, jogs, fixtures, gauges, dies or machinists' handtools.
Key Responsibilities
- Lays out, fits, and assembles parts to make repair cutting tools, jogs, fixtures, gauges, dies or machinists' handtools.
- Sets up and operates all tool room equipments.
- Studies blueprints to determine machining to be done and plans layout and assembly, or copies existing parts.
- Produces new tools, parts, etc. for machines and equipment.
- Repairs/rewords tools, dies, machine parts ad performs similar work.
- Makes inspection when required of parts, tools, etc.
- Performs bench work related to job assigned.
- Supplies own tools normally used in a journeyman's trade.
- Responsible for lubrication, maintenance and care of tool room equipment.
- May assist General Maintenance or Machine Repair/Rebuild Person in measuring, fitting, installation or replacement of parts where his skills is required.
- Responsible for cleanliness of work area and machines.
- Reports to supervision unusual difficulties or conditions regarding machines, tools, and equipment.
- Completes job or daily job card. Assists in training new hires or apprentices.

- Qualifications (Required):
- Education: High School Diploma
- Certification: Journeyman's Card; or eight years related experience, technical degree and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience to acquire Journeyman's card.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $24.00 - $35.00
