
Media Supervisor, Freelance

INNOCEAN USA , a full-service advertising agency, is looking for a skilled freelance Media Supervisor to join our team!
We are a hybrid workplace, 3x days week in-office. Candidates must be local to SoCal.
The Media Supervisor will be expected to be able to take on the role (primary) of media supervisor and support two (2) Associate Media Directors with the day-to-day management of the media efforts for Hyundai Motor America (HMA). The role will be defined by, but not limited to: (1) Coordinating with Hyundai’s media agency (CWW) in key aspects of the implementation and maintenance of Brand building and Performance media plans and budgets, (2) identifying and implementing innovative ways of delivering and analyzing key reports, (3) collaborating with other marketing disciplines to ensure client needs and requirements are met, and (4) motivating and managing the Planning Agency in meeting deliverables.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
The Media Supervisor will support the management and stewardship of campaigns including National Lifestyle, National Retail/In-Market (digital), and Regional, planning. This position will work closely with the media agency team and internal cross-discipline partners including brand management, brand strategy, social media, and Data Science/analytics. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Oversee the implementation of media budgets through on-going communication/coordination with media agency planning teams, HMA client team, and IUS billing department
Working with the integrated IUS HMA-dedicated team and media agency brand team on a daily basis
Managing ongoing day-to-day client media stewardship (i.e. providing timely media opportunity POVs, managing one-off requests, participating in execution of media program activations, etc.)
Contributing to ongoing campaign reporting and performance management, working closely with media team and IUS Data Science, Business Intelligence and Media Intelligence Teams
Creative and asset coordination with IUS account group/CRM/social media/investment teams
Author and execute special projects as needed, such as budget updates, recaps, presentation updates, one-off plan recommendations, etc.
Work with IUS Finance to ensure billing process is being followed and tracked.
Management Responsibilities
Work closely with AMDS in managing client budget issuance/management, flowchart updates, meeting scheduling, and day-to-day account stewardship.
Fiscal Responsibilities
Responsible for managing and reporting media budgets on an ad-hoc and monthly basis
Ideal Profile
4+ years of media planning and buying experience including national and local media – both traditional and digital
Must have a solid understanding of media math
Must be a highly fluent Microsoft Excel user with Power Point Expertise
Must be highly fluent across Google Suite
Previous OEM/retail automotive experience a plus, but not necessary.
Number oriented and able to bring numbers to “life” through top-line analysis and story telling
Ability to multi-task and naturally collaborate across different teams and work closely with clients
