Event Setup And Tear Down Worker
Set up and tear down of events taking place at Milwaukee Art Museum. Flexible availability is a plus with a high demand during 2nd shift hours, 2pm 1am.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for event set-up of floor plans arranged by the Event Planning Department
Responsible for event tear down
Utilizes free time by organizing events areas and storage rooms
Perform basic clean up event equipment post-event.
Maintains cleanliness of events equipment such as chairs and tables
Assist with placing of stanchions for events
Set up pipe and drape as needed for meetings and events
Perform coat checking duties as needed for Museum events. Coat checking may earn tips.
Requirements:
Education /Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
Must reach, bend, walk and stand during entire shift. Ability to lift up to 80 pounds. Ability to work 12 hours or more. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Temperament: Excellent interpersonal skills, systematic, meticulous, patient, energetic, self-starter and works well under pressure. Manages time efficiently, analyzes and solves problems independently and if necessary, collaboratively. Ability to be flexible and embrace changes within this position due to departmental priorities. Ability to work with a wide variety of people to achieve the goals of the Museum.
