Options For All is seeking a Film & Media Intern to support the planning, production, and delivery of mission‑driven projects that amplify the voices of the communities we serve. This internship is ideal for a creative, organized, and adaptable individual eager to gain hands‑on experience across all phases of film production in a collaborative studio environment.

The intern will work closely with the Director of Film & Media, Studio Manager, and Production Manager on internal and community partner projects from pre‑to post‑production, gaining exposure to professional workflows, project coordination, studio operations, and inclusive storytelling.

Through this experience, the intern will build practical production and project management skills, strengthen filming and editing abilities, and learn how media can support education, advocacy, and empowerment—particularly for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The internship emphasizes mentorship, skill‑building, and portfolio‑ready work in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven setting.

Current Availability
This internship will be starting on June 1, 2026 and ending on August 7, 2026.

This role requires the intern to work 100% onsite in our San Diego HQ. Housing assistance and stipends are not provided.

What you’ll be doing

Assist in project planning activities.

Track and document project progress (timelines, deliverables, actions, issues, owners).

Follow up with project action owners to ensure timely progress and identify issues early on.

Create project templates for communicating project updates, agendas, and meeting minutes.

Assist with any research that may be needed.

Assist in project requirements gathering exercises.

Provide pre‑production, production and post‑production support on internal film and media projects and projects with community partners.

Assist instructors with teaching opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Creative & production‑specific tasks.

Film and media educational support for our I/DD client.

What we’re looking for

Qualifications:

Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License, acceptable driving record, and ability to travel within the region where services are provided.

Must be 21 years of age or older.

Must complete and pass a background check.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship (students on F1 visa with CPT can be accommodated).

Education:

Currently enrolled or a recent graduate in Film & Media, Cinematic Arts, Television, Digital Media, or a related field.

Minimum 3.0 GPA.

Experience:

Experience operating DSLR cameras.

Editing experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop.

On‑set film production experience.

Skills:

Must be self‑motivated.

Must have excellent organizational skills.

Must have excellent written communication.

Must be a results‑focused individual.

Must be flexible and willing to pivot between priorities as needed.

Ability to multitask and be detail‑oriented.

Experience with client‑tracking software (SETWorks/TeamBridge).

Physical demands
The position requires the employee to regularly stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. They must be capable of writing, using a computer keyboard, telephone and related office equipment. Ability to lift 15 lbs. The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
