About the Role
The Company is seeking a Business Unit Leader (VP of Operations) for a multi-site Center of Excellence. This executive role is pivotal, with full P&L ownership and a mandate to drive performance, alignment, and scalability across the platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the strategic roadmap, driving operational excellence through lean and continuous improvement, and optimizing the manufacturing footprint. Key impact areas include owning and delivering P&L performance, partnering with site general managers to ensure consistent execution of KPIs, and leading cross-functional alignment. The role demands a leader who can seamlessly move between strategy and execution, with a strong focus on elevating the organization and shaping the future of a complex, multi-site industrial platform.
The ideal candidate for this role is a high-impact operations executive with a proven track record in leading multi-site aerospace manufacturing or CNC machining operations. A Bachelor's degree is required, with an MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred, and at least 12 years' experience in aerospace or advanced manufacturing. The candidate should have a deep background in CNC machining, fabrication, assembly, and/or composites manufacturing, and a strong grounding in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and quality systems. The leadership profile for this position includes being a strategic operator, change leader, financially astute, people builder, influencer, and a hands-on leader with an ownership mindset.
