
Hedge Fund Research Analyst

The Hedge Fund Research Analyst will be a key junior-level investment professional on the Citi Wealth Hedge Fund Research and Management ("HFRM") team. HFRM seeks to source and offer best-in‑class investments across the hedge fund universe.
Responsibilities
Perform analysis and investment due diligence on both existing as well as prospective investments
Help manage oversight and implementation functions regarding the hedge fund approval, monitoring, and documentation processes
Generate performance reporting, fund guides, and other internal collateral to support the sales education process
Create, draft, and present recommendations to internal parties and wealth management clients of Citi with respect to funds under coverage, highlighting opportunities and risks
Work closely with the discretionary alternatives portfolio management team to help build successful portfolios for our clients
Help the broader team maintain a pipeline of products that are suitable for different client segments
Assist with education and training of bankers, financial advisors, and clients across both hedge fund strategies and individual funds
Collaborate with Citi's global sales teams around marketing and outreach for various investment opportunities
Ad‑hoc participation and collaboration with other groups at Citi
Qualifications
Up to 5 years’ experience, preferred with some background in hedge funds
Bachelor's or Master’s degree with strong academic record required
Proven analytical capabilities, including expert-level spreadsheet/excel skill set
Strong writing skills - with specific experience drafting detailed investment analysis
Comfort presenting to various internal and external/client audiences
Self‑starter with high level of attention to detail
Desire and ability to be part of a dynamic team; a strong team‑player orientation is critical
Education
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
Compensation & Benefits
Primary Location Full Time Salary Range: $121,200.00 – $181,800.00
