WSU C.A.R.E.S. Teen and Communications Program Coordinator
Position: Program Coordinator, part-time (50% FTE), permanent, classified.

Scope of Responsibilities
Provide mentorship, coordination, and operational support for youth-focused programming.
Manage logistical planning, communications, youth leadership development, and participant engagement across multiple program initiatives.
Support fundraising efforts by tracking donor engagement, assisting with fundraising campaign planning, and contributing to Giving Day activities.
Assist with statewide outreach and marketing efforts and coordinate the 4-H Prevention Film Camp and the 4-H Film Festival Camp.
Oversee website maintenance and monitoring and manage social media accounts for WSU C.A.R.E.S., Teens Helping Teens, and Supporting Strong Families; develop, schedule, and publish promotional content; create graphics and short‑form digital materials; ensure all communications align with WSU branding guidelines and accessibility requirements.
Qualifications
High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience.
Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
Willingness and ability to travel within targeted counties.
Ability to work a flexible, structured schedule with occasional night and weekend shifts to meet partner and grant needs.
Preferred Qualifications
Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with persons of varying responsibility levels.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Workday.
Knowledge of WSU Business Policies and Procedures in personnel, finance, and administration.
Experience in higher education, local or state agency, or equivalent.
Compensation and Benefits
Monthly Salary: $1,832.50 - $2,441 at 50% FTE ($3,665 - $4,882 at 100% FTE). Salary range based on experience, education, and skills, with scheduled increments in accordance with WAC 357-28.
