Scripps Mercy Hospital consists of two campuses in San Diego and Chula Vista.
Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego’s campus includes the O’Toole Breast Care Center, a 24-hour emergency room that is a Level I Trauma Center, outpatient physical rehabilitation, minimally invasive robotic surgery and our childbirth unit (including a Level II neonatal intensive care unit).
This is a part time (20 hrs/week) inpatient position at Scripps Mercy in Hillcrest working TH-SAT one week and FR-SAT the other.

As a Physical Therapy Assistant in the Rehabilitation department supporting Scripps Mercy Hospital you will bring your excellent communication skills to creatively solve problems every day. The Physical Therapy Assistant assists in providing therapy under the supervision of the Physical Therapist who shall be responsible for the extent, kind, and quality of the services of the therapist assistant through a continuum of care. This work is performed according to the assistant's licensure/certification, Code of Ethics, Federal/State regulations, JCAHO/UMQC and Care Center policies and procedures. As a Physical Therapist Assistant you will demonstrate the ability to perform competencies as outlined in Rehabilitation Services Competency Assessment tools and provide age specific care as established for area and job title.

Required Certification/Registration:
Current California State licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant or Pending License. Must have license before start.
BLS for Health Care Provider
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
Minimum of one year of acute care experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant
