What To Expect The Business Development Manager (BDM) drives business growth by developing strategic relationships, identifying new market opportunities, and managing dealer relationships. The BDM uses consultative selling to educate, motivate, and train new and existing Hyundai/Kia/Genesis dealers in their assigned district on HCA’s retail, lease, CPO and Commercial Financing Programs to achieve annual sales objectives and profitability goals. The role includes acquiring new business and expanding the region’s insurance growth objectives through dealer conversion to branded F&I products, programs, and deal structures, as well as implementing and utilizing new products and services launched by the company.
What You Will Do Product and Services: Attain HCA business goals within an assigned territory by promoting HCA programs to stimulate dealer utilization of HCA products and services, including standard, subsidized, lease, CPO/used penetrations, and related activities.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing dealers and pursue new business opportunities; educate, enroll, and implement new programs and services at assigned dealerships to achieve financial growth and expand market presence.
Dealer Training and Deployment: Train dealership personnel on new technology and digitalization of HCA products and services (eContracting, eRehash, Remarketing, self-service functionality) and support store training for insurance products and performance.
Acquisition of New Business: Develop and execute the region’s insurance growth objectives through dealer conversion to branded F&I products and deal structures; implement and drive dealer F&I and store training to maximize production.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with sales and product design teams to ensure requirements are met and provide competitive data feedback and creative solutions to promote growth.
Compliance and Risk: Promote responsible growth while maintaining ROA targets and managing risk across portfolios.
What You Will Bring Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or related role with a track record of meeting sales targets.
Sales training experience; captive automotive finance experience a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally across teams and OEMs to leverage HCA products and services for mutual growth.
Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and organizational skills; ability to work under pressure while meeting goals.
Understanding of HCA products, market position, and competitive landscape.
Driving requirements: valid driver’s license with clean record; willingness to travel daily and overnight as needed in the region.
Work Environment Office and field environment with extended periods of sitting, standing, and computer use. Travel across assigned regions and occasional overnight travel may be required. Relocation may be necessary.
Additional Information Salary range: $88,000.00 – $136,400.00. Location: United States – Washington – Seattle. Job type: Regular, Exempt, Full-time. Posting date: Mar 20, 2026.
