Position Summary
The Material Handler supports the Warehouse Fulfillment team by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant handling of materials. This role also provides backup support to other Facilities teams as needed. The position is highly active and requires extended periods of standing and movement while fulfilling orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Utilize Oracle ERP and RF scanning tools to accurately identify, pick, and fulfill orders, including correct parts and lot numbers
* Maintain proper storage and handling conditions while transporting materials to internal customers
* Support shipping, receiving, inventory management, and cycle count activities to ensure inventory accuracy
* Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, in accordance with safety guidelines (as applicable)
* Deliver a high level of customer service through effective communication and responsiveness to internal stakeholders
* Collaborate cross-functionally and provide backup support to Facilities teams as needed
* Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment
* Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent, or 10+ years of relevant experience
* Valid California Driver's License, as required
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing tasks and schedules
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
* Ability to perform physically active work, including extended time on feet
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with RF scanners
* Previous experience in the biopharma or life sciences industry
* Prior experience in a laboratory environment
* Experience with shipping/receiving, inventory management, and cycle counts
* Previous forklift operation experience
Hybrid Work Model: This section is applicable to onsite employees who are eligible for hybrid work location as specified by management and related policies. Guardant has defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. This range does not include benefits or, if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. Each candidate's compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, education, job-related skills, job duties, and business need.
Primary Location: Redwood City, CA
Primary Location Base Pay Range: $22 - $31
Other US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $19 - $26
If the role is performed in Colorado, the pay range for this job is: $20 - $28
Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
