Certified as a school librarian by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Successful previous experience as a librarian
Fully committed to the academic achievements for all students
Comprehensive understanding of research media and strategies
Ability to be an instructional partner with teachers from all subject areas
Outstanding organizational skills
Excellent technology skills
Complete commitment to the learning of the entire school community
Reports to
Principal and Associate Principal
Job Description
Create an exciting learning experience and an information and technologically rich environment
Assist every student in getting the best information to fulfill their assignments
Teach students the research process
Guide and teach students to evaluate information, particularly from internet resources
Maintain an accurate/current inventory of books, periodicals, and technological resources
Facilitate the acquisition of new materials and participate with regional library systems such as SAILS and SEMLS to provide online catalogue databases and other materials
Any other duties which promote effective use of the I.M.C.
Salary and Terms of Employment
Salary and benefits will be based on the Fall River Public Schools and FREA negotiated
