The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110-bed hospitallocatedin the heart of the Bluegrass, Lexington, KY. The Ridge provides psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. The Ridge offers Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual Counseling, as well as Medication Management for all ages. We have provided behavioral health services to over 92 Kentucky counties for more than 39 years.

Job Duties include:
Maintains individual payer files to include up to date requirements needed to successfully obtain authorizations for care and treatment.
Request, track, and obtain pre-authroizationfrom insurance carriers within timeallottedfor assigned workload and follow-up regularly on pending cases.
Ensure tracking programs and patient records are kept up to date through the pre-certification process.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

Education:
Master's degree in Social work, Psychology, orotherMental Health field or RN license ispreferred.
MinimumAssociate Degreewith 5 years mental health experiencerequired.
Certifications/Licensure:
Crisis intervention training isrequiredand is offered upon hire.
CPR isrequiredand offered upon hire.
Experience:
One to two years of experience in a psychiatric hospital is preferred.
One to two years of experience in Utilization Management preferred.
Other Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
