Program Coordinator – Fort Bend County Library – George Memorial

Responsibilities

Develop, plan, coordinate and implement system-wide library programs and events.

Maintain communication with library branches and partner organizations to schedule library programs with community events.

Present program plans, standards and proposals to staff at meetings and training events.

Assess community needs and interests and stay in touch with industry standards to tailor program efforts effectively.

Lead program committee to create and update program training and opportunities for staff.

Gather statistics and prepare reports regarding system-wide programs, and activities.

Work collaboratively with Outreach, Partnerships and Programming team on group projects, grants and events.

Participate in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree required. Master of Library and Information Science preferred.

3 years job-related experience; experience in event planning, public speaking, project management or marketing preferred.

Experience in community outreach, event planning, or marketing. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in using social media and other digital marketing tools.

Creative and innovative thinking.

Passion for promoting literacy and lifelong learning.

Ability to maintain a working schedule for outreach and personal meetings. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with library patrons, associates, and the general public.

SALARY: $32.26 - $40.33 /USD Hourly

CLOSING DATE: Upon Filling position
