Overview
Delaware County Christian School is accepting applications from qualified persons to serve as a Lower School Multi-Media and Literature Coordinator beginning August 2026. DC's mission works to graduate students prepared to impact the world through biblical thought and action. We are seeking a candidate who preferably has an ALA Accredited MLS in Library Science or Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with experience promoting literacy and knowledge of children’s literature. DC places a high value on developing a love of literature and reading broadly. Our new Learning Commons in the Lower School showcases amazing, current, timely literature for our lower school students. Strong Lower School Multi-Media and Literature Coordinator candidates will have a love of literature and knowledge of Newbury award winners, excellent children's book selections and a variety of genres as well as the various sections of the library to drive the Learning Commons vision. Experience instructing students to use technology for learning is a plus.
Responsibilities
Support the Learning Commons in the Lower School and promote literacy and a love of literature.
Provide guidance on children’s literature, including knowledge of Newbury Award winners and diverse genres.
Instruct and guide students in using technology for learning as part of library/media activities.
Qualifications
Preferred: ALA Accredited MLS in Library Science or Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with experience promoting literacy and knowledge of children’s literature.
Knowledge of Newbury Award winners, strong children’s book selections, and a variety of genres; familiarity with library sections to support the Learning Commons vision.
Experience instructing students to use technology for learning is a plus.
