Full-time internship: 40 hours a week.
PURPOSE OF THE INTERNSHIP
The Intern will help the Store Design team with their day-to-day tasks, mainly assisting them with coordinating the execution, implementation, and maintenance of Point of Sale (POS). The intern should be able to assist the team in the development of technical details and prototypes with contractors/suppliers, support the Regional Visual Merchandising team by using various online platforms, support the development of store/event design and visual merchandising projects, help in the installation of new counters, and coordinating retrofits and maintenance.
Main objective is helping the Store Design team to ensure a consistent and highly qualitative execution of the brand image, respecting the guidelines, strategy and timing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
POINT OF SALE MAINTENANCE/RETROFITS & LOGISTICS
Help to manage/update project tracking pipeline database and provide weekly updates to the Visual Merchandising team and biweekly reports to Commercial Team
Help to analyze existing drawings and communicate tasks directly to suppliers/millworkers.
Development of technical drawings related to maintenance requests and retrofits.
Coordinate and assist Visual Merchandising team during the installation of phase of projects.
MERCHANDISING TOOLS
Help to monitor/track Merchandising quantities in XL WORLDWIDE Database
Coordinate shipping/installations of Make-up Drawers (DSS4), Bars, Chairs, Mirrors and other Material orders
ONLINE DATABASE (PIPELINE + SHAREPOINT)
Help to manage, Verify & Update POS information from the project pipeline.
Frequently update all working files on the Central Sharepoint.
Review and coordinate maintenance/order requests.
ARCHITECTURE PROJECTS (ASSISTING THE STORE DESIGN PROJECT MANAGER)
Brief: Assist receiving & checking that all information in design brief is accurate.
Pre-Design: Assist w/ Layout plans, Elevations, Sections and Details (when needed)
Technical drawings: Prepare technical Details package adapted to the Region for purchasing process of the counters in
AutoCAD/Sketchup (when needed)
Purchasing: Coordinate and support in Purchasing process with department in Paris and suppliers (when needed)
Shop Drawings: Review execution drawings for production from manufacturers and review with Store Designer (when needed)
Project management: Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, merchandising), external contractors (architects, designers), and vendors (materials suppliers) to ensure timely completion within budget.
Collaboration & Communication: Communicate effectively across departments to manage expectations and report on progress.
Feedback analysis: Gather feedback post-project completion from staff and customers; analyze data to inform future designs.
OTHER
Update project Pipeline & Participate in weekly status meetings.
Support with Architecture slides on the biweekly newsletter.
Support with photography collection of all new openings.
PRINCIPAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture/Interior Design
Experience/Interest in Retail Design and Project Management
Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Excel
Analytical/Project Management skills required
A Detailed oriented & creative problem solver
Very strong Organization & Communication skills
An Innovative thinker with an eagerness to learn
Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office & Adobe PhotoSuite
Strong Operational skills
Speaks fluently in English and Spanish (French and/or Portuguese can be a plus)
