Job Overview
As a Business Development Manager at Dräger, you will provide technical and application expertise across the full RSS solutions portfolio, supporting the RSS Sales team, channel partners, and end‑user customers nationwide. This U.S. based position focuses on expanding rental and safety services revenue through direct sales and channel partners, and on developing key client relationships at a national level.
Main Responsibilities
Develop and execute national growth strategies to expand RSS revenue through direct sales and channel partners.
Recruit, onboard, and support channel partners to ensure they can promote and deliver RSS solutions.
Monitor channel performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective or improvement actions.
Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including technical decision‑makers, safety leaders, procurement teams, and influencers.
Support customers and partners with solution design, product selection, and technical problem‑solving.
Deliver product and service training sessions to enhance partner and customer competence.
Assist channel partners in bid & tender management for complex applications and tailored solutions.
Manage business development activities across all U.S. regions with a consistent strategy, messaging, and execution.
Travel extensively to support customers, channel partners, events, and field initiatives.
Represent Dräger at industry events and relevant trade associations.
Assist the RSS Marketing Manager with product launches and provide technical benefits & features.
Perform other duties as needed.
Your Qualifications
A degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university and/or 5+ years of job‑related experience.
Five or more years’ product experience in industrial safety equipment or a related field.
Ability to travel 75% of the time with significant overnight travel.
Skilled at influencing in a complex, matrix environment without direct authority.
Results‑oriented with the ability to stay focused on objectives amid shifting priorities.
Strong team player, excellent communication skills, and ability to articulate product information.
Capability to move/push products greater than 70 lbs. with mechanical assistance.
Ability to ascend/descend tall ladders and lift products.
Local Safety Council training and TWIC card required (paid by Dräger).
Proficiency in PC applications, including the MS Office suite.
Self‑directed, priority setting, and customer‑focused mindset.
Willingness to learn new technologies.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
