We have an exciting opportunity for a Multimedia Intern to join our Marketing & Communications team within our Creative Team. This role reports directly to our Multimedia Specialist and supports the development of video and digital content that tells the story of McKim & Creed—our people, our projects, and the impact we make in communities every day.
This is not a sit‑behind‑the‑desk internship. You’ll gain boots‑on‑the‑ground, real‑world production experience ‑filming in the field, visiting project sites, capturing engineers in action, and learning professional video techniques in live environments. From planning shoots to setting up cameras and lighting on active job sites, you’ll be immersed in every stage of production.
You’ll leave this internship with published, portfolio‑ready work and practical production experience that sets you apart in a competitive creative field.

YOUR DAY‑DAY WILL INCLUDE:
Working under the supervision of the Multimedia Specialist and Creative Team, you will support video production and digital content initiatives across the firm.
Responsibilities may include:
Assisting in the pre‑production, filming, and editing of a new video series
Participating in on‑location shoots at offices and project sites
Supporting video shoots through camera setup, lighting design, and professional audio recording
Learning and applying real‑world filming techniques in dynamic environments
Editing video content using Adobe Premiere Pro and creating motion graphics in Adobe After Effects
Assisting in the creation of photo and video content for marketing and digital materials, including content selection, editing, and organization
Organizing, tagging, and publishing digital photo and video assets within our Digital Asset Management (DAM) system
Maintaining organized project files, media libraries, and content archives
Collaborating with team members to ensure all content aligns with McKim & Creed brand standards and visual identity
WHAT YOU NEED:
Junior, Senior, or recent graduate pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Film Production, Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field and seeking hands‑on production experience
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, etc.)
Experience operating DSLR or mirrorless cameras
Foundational understanding of lighting design and audio recording principles
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow brand standards
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT:
A portfolio or demo reel demonstrating strong video editing and motion graphics skills
Advanced proficiency with DSLR/mirrorless production techniques (composition, exposure, framing, etc.)
Strong storytelling instincts and interest in brand‑driven, documentary‑style content
Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, Photoshop, and Illustrator
Experience with photo editing workflows, color correction, and file optimization for digital use
Familiarity with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems and media organization best practices
FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone License
