We are seeking a compassionate and skilled
Board-Certified Music Therapist
to provide therapeutic services, primarily serving
kids and adults with special needs . We will also support you in working with your preferred population if you have additional areas of expertise.
This is a collaborative role that will begin with a low case load (8-10 hours per week of direct service) but expand to 12-18 hours of direct service per week within 8 months. We plan to offer a full time position in addition to other part-time staffing positions within 2 years, supporting upward mobility and your potential for growth in a team environment.
We offer
in-clinic
music therapy in San Francisco at Ocean Avenue Health & Wellness. We also offer
in-home and in-facility
sessions. The music therapist must work a hybrid schedule in clinic and visiting homes or facilities.
Your income is
protected
by our 48-hour cancelation policy (with 1 exception per client per calendar year).
Bonuses
are available throughout the year for referring/bringing on new clients to our practice.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing
music therapy
tailored to each patient's needs.
Conduct
individual
and
group sessions
focused on behavioral health, addiction recovery, dementia care, pediatrics, and other specialties.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapeutic goals into overall patient care plans.
Document all clinical interventions accurately in
medical records
following HIPAA guidelines.
Work with patients with
disabilities , including those with autism or developmental disabilities, ensuring a supportive and engaging environment.
Assist in managing patient progress through ongoing assessment and adjustment of therapeutic approaches.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment conducive to healing and engagement.
Skills
Proven experience in music therapy.
Strong background working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia.
Excellent interpersonal skills for working effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques for diverse populations.
Experience delivering both
individual
and
group therapy
sessions.
