If so, GSL Education Kent invites you to join a high‑achieving, forward‑thinking grammar school in Medway. The selected Music Teacher will deliver dynamic music lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, inspiring students to develop their musical abilities and appreciation for the arts.

The school is a highly successful selective grammar for girls with a co‑educational sixth form, recently rated 'Good' by Ofsted. It boasts excellent facilities for the performing arts, including specialist music rooms, practice spaces, and performance areas. The successful Music Teacher will join a supportive, collaborative department dedicated to fostering a love of music in all students.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, high‑quality music lessons across Key Stages 3–5.

Inspire a love of music and develop students' practical, theoretical, and composition skills.

Lead and direct extracurricular musical activities such as choirs, orchestras, or bands.

Organise and manage school concerts, performances, and musical events throughout the academic year.

Prepare students for GCSE and A‑Level music examinations.

Qualifications

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Music.

Have experience teaching music at secondary level, including Key Stage 4.

Be a skilled instrumentalist and/or vocalist with strong subject knowledge.

Have the right to work in the UK.

Meet safer recruitment background checks.

Hold a Child Enhanced DBS certificate and be willing to apply if required.

Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
