Role Summary
This position is responsible for: Supporting and coordinating the functions of the Conservatory Music program; ensures the quality of programs and safety of youth at all times; provides guidance and role modeling to youth and ensures safety and a positive experience for campers.
Key Responsibilities
Assists the work of music instruction in helping children and youth to succeed in school by increasing their involvement and motivation; and helping them to set personal goals.
Assists in training and development of camper for music instruction.
Assists with appropriate lessons for instruction time.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Some physical requirements of the Junior Music Instructor position could be endurance including climbing, standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate equipment and activities are required. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/programs and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Have a willingness to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours delivering a program in the facility available. Operate with daily exposure to the sun and heat and varying environmental conditions.
