Position Overview
We are seeking an engaging and knowledgeable Music Production Instructor to lead interactive, one-day workshops for library participants. This session will introduce students to the basics of music production, including beat-making, sound mixing, and creative expression through digital tools.
This is a short-term, one-day opportunity ideal for instructors who are passionate about music, technology, and inspiring creativity in a group setting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a 1-hour, hands‑on music production workshop
Introduce basic concepts such as beats, rhythm, sampling, and digital audio tools
Engage participants with interactive demonstrations and guided activitiesCreate a fun, inclusive, and beginner‑friendly learning environment
Manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive experience for all participants
Arrive prepared with lesson materials and any necessary equipment (if applicable)
Qualifications
Experience in music production, beat‑making, or audio engineering
Ability to teach and engage students of varying skill levels (likely beginners)
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Prior teaching or youth program experience is a plus
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with music production software (e.g., GarageBand, FL Studio, Ableton, etc.)
Experience working in workshops, camps, or educational settings
Ability to adapt lesson plans to different group sizes and skill levels
