Provides developmentally appropriate music-therapy services to inpatient infants, children and adolescents with complex medical needs. This role uses music-based assessments and interventions to support physical, emotional, cognitive, leisure and psychosocial goals and collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to enhance patient and family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
Develops and implements therapeutic music programs/interventions to achieve physical, emotional, cognitive, psychosocial and leisure goals.
Documents patient progress using evaluations, daily documentation, and progress notes.
Participates in interdisciplinary team rounds and meetings to ensure collaboration for treatment and discharge planning.
Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team in shared space and via available computer platforms for email, chats and shared files.
Maintains mandatory education requirements according to organization deadlines.
Recommends and maintains music therapy equipment and supplies via communication with manager.
Adheres to safety and infection prevention practices established by the organization.

Education and Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in music therapy
Current certification as a Music Therapist
Previous experience in a pediatric setting
Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Knowledge of basic infant, toddler and child development, the ability to work with a large team, and adaptability to changes in daily workflow.
