Talbott Recovery is currently looking for a PRN Therapist. Qualifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct biopsychosocial and artbased assessments to evaluate client needs, strengths, and therapeutic goals
Develop, implement, and review individualized and group art therapy treatment plans
Facilitate art therapy sessions using a variety of media and techniques to support emotional expression, insight, coping, and regulation
Interpret and integrate artwork, client feedback, and clinical observations into ongoing treatment planning
Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, educators, and case managers
Maintain therapeutic boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards in accordance with professional guidelines
Respond appropriately to crisis situations and follow established safety and reporting protocols
Maintain a safe, organized, and therapeutic studio environment
Participate in team meetings, supervision, trainings, and continuing education activities
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Art Therapy or Art Therapyrelated field from an accredited program
Credentialed or credentialeligible as a Registered Art Therapist (ATR)
State licensure or eligibility for licensure where required
Completion of supervised clinical hours as required for credentialing
Strong understanding of therapeutic theory, ethics, and clinical documentation
Proficiency in working with diverse populations and presenting concerns
Board Certification (ATRBC)
Dual licensure (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW)
Experience working in healthcare, mental health, education, or residential treatment settings
Training in traumainformed care, mindfulnessbased approaches, or expressive therapies
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Scope of Practice Statement
The Art Therapist provides
clinical mental health services
through artbased interventions within their professional scope and credentials. This role may diagnose and treat mental health conditions only if appropriately licensed and authorized under state law and organizational policy.
Physical and Sensory Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and move during therapy sessions
Ability to handle art materials and supplies
Ability to maintain focus and emotional presence during sessions involving sensitive content
Work Environment
Clinical, educational, residential, or communitybased setting
May include individual and group therapy formats
