On-Air Fundraising Coordinator
KERA is seeking a full-time On-Air Fundraising Coordinator to join our Development team. This position will focus on coordinating elements for year-round on-air fundraising campaigns, including in-studio pitching, production of on-air fundraising breaks, data management, scriptwriting, premium (thank you gift) development and ordering, gathering and editing member testimonials, and maintaining digital donation forms.
Position Summary
This position is based in Dallas and will primarily support fundraising campaigns for KXT (AAA music format) Radio Station, while also assisting with all fundraising campaigns for KERA News (NPR) and WRR (Classical Radio). The role is full‑time, non‑exempt, and may require early mornings, evenings, and weekends during campaigns. The position reports to the Manager, Radio On-Air Fundraising.
What You’ll Do
Coordinate all KXT on-air fundraising campaigns, including producing fundraising breaks during live radio campaigns, pitching during live radio campaigns, scriptwriting, reviewing airchecks, sourcing in‑kind donations, fulfilling drawing prizes, developing and ordering custom premiums (thank you gifts), call center coordination, donation page coordination, talent scheduling, and communications.
Assist with coordination of WRR and KERA News campaigns, including producing fundraising breaks during live radio campaigns, pitching during live radio campaigns, scriptwriting, reporting daily results, and communications.
Utilize best practices in public‑media on‑air fundraising to integrate new ideas and initiatives to drive revenue and membership growth for KXT.
Engage diverse perspectives and experiences in work product and organizational interactions, including communication and decision‑making.
Work with Programming, Operations, Audience Development and Development staff to proactively identify collaborative opportunities for fundraising elements such as ticket opportunities, guest appearances, creative partnerships, etc.
Perform tactical analysis of fundraising results and strategic planning before, during and after on‑air fundraising campaigns.
Ensure strategic goals, messaging and tone of fundraisers are implemented consistently and appropriately.
Ensure on-air fundraising campaigns remain listener-focused while meeting fundraising goals.

Passion for fundraising.
CRM/donor database experience.
Radio and TV scriptwriting, production, and/or editing experience.
Working knowledge of Spanish and/or other languages common in Texas.
Salary Range
$58,000–$68,000 annually, depending on experience.
