Role Overview
Prime Air is seeking a Repair Technician who combines technical skills with a passion for maintaining machinery and aircraft. This person will be responsible for drone maintenance and routine service, ensuring the aircraft conforms to design, and that vehicles are in safe operating condition. The candidate will work closely with engineering, flight operations, and other Prime Air teams to deliver on their assigned responsibilities. The role requires strong analytical skills, a self‑starter attitude, and ability to work independently.
Key job responsibilities
Drive time‑based and condition‑based maintenance activities
Show understanding of fleet performance metrics
Verify adherence to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes
Manage fleet spare parts and inventory
Demonstrate proactive safety mindset in ambiguous situations
Follow detailed instructions outlined in technical manuals
Eligibility and requirements
Ability to carry or lift up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend and reach; shifts up to 12 hours
Travel up to 25 % of the time
Work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Experience in mechanical and electrical integration or assembly
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Self‑starter, works well independently
Desired qualifications
Experience in installing sub‑assemblies and assemblies while working to drawings or CAD files
Experience in the aviation industry
Business communication skills
Experience in robotics and manufacturing engineering
Additional Information
This position may require an export control license and may be subject to Department of Transportation drug and alcohol testing if conducting safety‑sensitive functions as defined by the FAA.
