Warehouse Technician (Forklift Operator) - 3rd Shift

We are currently hiring for a Warehouse Technician on 3rd shift for our warehouse team.
Hours: 11:00 pm - 7:30 a.m.
**To meet operational needs, mandatory biweekly Saturday overtime will be part of our standard schedule.**

Position Overview:
This is a hands-on position and will require that the individual be responsible for all aspects of the shipping, receiving and warehousing functions within the plant. This individual will be responsible for contributing to a consistent, safe, and productive work environment through participation in corporate programs.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
- Works with production to ensure materials are available in a timely manner.
- Visually inspects and counts inbound loads to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Confirms that the documentation for incoming shipments is in accordance with established guidelines.
- Loads and accurately documents outbound shipments of finished product.
- Rotates inventory according to first in, first out guidelines.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of dock and storage areas.
- Interact with a wide variety of drivers, delivery personnel and contractors.
- Previous experience in order picking, shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks.
- Knowledge and experience in driving electric forklift - sit-down only.
- Operation of electric pallet jack.
General Responsibilities:
- Adheres to operational and personnel policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in Food Safety and Food Defense related activities.
- Perform additional duties as directed.
Education & Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 2 years' experience in warehouse operations (order picking, shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks)
- Experience in a food production or manufacturing environment is a plus.
Specific Competencies:
- Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to become forklift certified.
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds repeatedly.
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels.
- English language proficiency, both written and verbal.
- Ability to complete tasks accurately and completely.
- Ability to identify problems and react appropriately.
