Description
To support our growth, FS-Curtis has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Wirer / Assembler at our St. Louis, MO plant. Our Wirer / Assembler with electrical focus will work as a part of our production team to assemble industrial air compressors and associated parts and accessories.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble products safely, accurately, thoroughly, and quickly to approved specifications
using instructions, BOMs, drawings, manuals, and photos
Perform manual labor using mechanic tools, basic hand tools, pneumatic, and pipe
installation tools
Make adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications and guidelines;
rejecting product outside specifications; assuming responsibility for quality control
Precisely align mating parts; performing rotational alignments and pressure tests
Wire products safely, efficiently, and accurately using instructions, drawings, wire
diagrams, manuals, and photos; wire wide range of motors, including 3 phase and single
phase
Install switches, panels, lights; cut and make up conduit
Read wiring schematics and/or diagrams to ensure proper wiring of motors, starters,
panels, and electrical accessories
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Good math aptitude, analytical skills, and basic electrical knowledge; ability to follow all
safety procedures, environmental guidelines and company rules and regulations
Good hand-eye coordination, excellent manual dexterity, able to work with small,
detailed objects
2+ years' experience in general assembly work or specialized training
Knowledge and experience in use of mechanic tools, basic hand tools, pipe installation
tools; ability to maintain tools and equipment
Able to stand, bend, move for 3 hours at a time, able to lift up to 60 pounds unassisted
or with the use of a hoist
Ability to work independently with little supervision, communicate well with a positive
attitude towards a team focused environment.
Knowledge of air compressor or other pneumatic mechanical equipment preferred
