Job Description
The remote High School CRE Teacher in Engineering Design and Presentation is a state‑certified teacher and/or alternatively certified CRE/CTE Teacher responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. The teacher must provide instruction, support, and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students’ individual needs. Students’ progress is monitored through K12’s learning management system, and the teacher works actively with students and parents to advance each student’s learning and develop a plan for post‑secondary success using online tools like Career Builder and Career Cruising.

Required Certificates and Licenses
Engineering Design and Presentation I or II (Grades 9–12), Mathematics/Physical Science/Engineering (Grades 6–12), Mathematics (Grades 6–12), Secondary General (Grades 6–12 or 8–12), Industrial Arts, Industrial Technology, Technology Education (Grades 6–12), Trade and Industrial Education (Grades 6–12 or 8–12), Vocational Trades and Industry.

$49,000 plus eligibility for a performance bonus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
Commit to personalizing learning for all students.
Demonstrate a belief in all students’ ability to succeed and meet high expectations.
Differentiates instruction based on student level of mastery.
Augment course content according to prescribed policies and procedures using appropriate tools under guidance from principal and coach.
Maintain grade book ensuring student academic integrity, make placement and promotion decisions, and alert administrators of concerns.
Prepare students for high‑stakes standardized tests.
Establish and maintain positive rapport with families and communicate regularly with students, learning coaches, and parents in a timely manner.
Support learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues, and basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom environment in line with academy policies.
Maintain effective knowledge of state, national, and industry learning standards.
Develop effective instructional tools and strategies to supplement and enhance curriculum.
Collaborate regularly with the school and national professional learning community.
Administer and proctor certification assessments where applicable.
Serve as an Advisor for Career & Technical Student Organization.
Support the CTE Program Coordinator with creating business and industry partnerships to facilitate work‑based learning experiences.
Support a project‑based learning model.
Travel up to 20% of the time for professional development, student testing, and/or other school requirements.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Active state teaching license.
Clear required background check.
Other Required Qualifications
Work collaboratively with teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data to drive instructional decisions.
Receptive to receiving coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
Embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
Rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
Maintain teacher certification and professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
Desired Qualifications
Experience working with the proposed age group.
Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology.
Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or brick‑and‑mortar environment.
Experience with online learning platforms.
Work Environment
The position is fully remote and requires ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week. A professional home office must be maintained, and the schedule is generally 9 a.m.–5 p.m. (or 8 a.m.–4 p.m.) unless otherwise defined by the school.
