Activities Staff

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory, Leonard, MI, United States

Duration: Full Time


Position Summary: The Activities Staff supports all camp programs, activities, operations and staff during camp.



Essential Responsibilities:



  • Assist counselors and camp staff in teaching or leading any camp activities

  • Participate in all camp programming

  • Attend all training meetings and staff devotions

  • Utilize training to assist at waterfront, target sports, or ropes course as needed

  • Assist in snack shop, kitchen and dining hall as directed

  • Assist with camp chores, showing good sportsmanship and table manners

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:



Education/Experience:



  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities


Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:



Computer Skills:



  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365

  • Knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint

  • Willingness to learn new software as needed


Certificates and Licenses:



  • Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed

  • CPR & AED, Lifeguard, ACCT belaying & facilitating, NRA RSO and NASP Basic Archery Instructor or willing to participate in training for the appropriate certification
