SALARY:
$57,455 annually and up to $12,000 in incentive pay
Additional Compensation :
$4,300 awarded after successful academy completion
$1,600 certification pay for EMT certification
Requirements to apply
Firefighters must be currently employed with another fire department, and have two (2) consecutive years of full-time paid Firefighter experience.
Lateral transfers must currently hold all five (5) of the below training/certifications (no exceptions):
IFSAC Firefighter I & II
IFSAC Hazardous Materials Operations
NREMT-Basic and/or ability to reciprocate with Kentucky Board of EMS for EMT-Basic certification
Current CPAT certifications are required at the time of hire for out-of-state applicants, and for in-state applicants that are not members of a fire department participating in the incentive program.
Out-of-state applicants are required to convert training to Kentucky Fire Commission and Kentucky Board of EMS requirements.
Hours
24 hr on/48 hr off schedule; 7:00 am - 7:00 am
