
Mechanical Design Solidworks Engineer

Purpose
The purpose of this position is to prepare comprehensive working plans and full detailed drawings of parts, sub-assemblies, complete machine assemblies, bill of materials, and outsource procurement of machines and components. The Mechanical Design Solidworks Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing machinery/equipment into manufacturing processes with a high level of proficiency. This is a top-level comprehensive project managing position, capable of full design skillset and troubleshooting complex mechanical functions while working completely independent and cohesively with other departments/personnel.
Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to)
Manage, install, and successfully close projects that pertain to developed designs or processing methods
Develop engineering technical specifications required for assigned projects; ensure conformance with engineering design or environmental regulations.
Support purchasing activities, including technical bid analysis and supplier selection
Apply strong engineering knowledge across mechanical, electrical, and automation disciplines
Support construction, fabrication, and revamp of new and existing equipment
Assist TPM teams with small improvement projects as needed
Collaborate with manufacturing support teams to drive process improvements
Requirements
Mechanical Engineering Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project management with engineering department
Minimum 3-5 years of experience with managing industrial equipment installation projects
Must be experienced Solidworks and AutoCad
Preferred experience with electrical, automation, plumbing, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
General tooling knowledge related to metal machining
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
Ability to understand and execute instructions effectively
Ability to take on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the company
