Requisition Summary
PACCAR has an exciting
Human Resources summer internship
opening at our global headquarters in
Bellevue, WA . The selected candidate will work directly with HR professionals, gaining exposure and experience in multiple HR functions.
As a Human Resources Intern you will:
Learn firsthand from experienced HR professionals and industry leaders
Partner closely with Managers and Senior Managers on real business initiatives
Build meaningful mentoring relationships with HR leaders
Gain handson, practical experience across core HR functions
Expand your professional network while developing skills that support your future career
The internship is scheduled to begin in between May or June 2026.
What to Expect
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), in person
Duration: Minimum12 weeks
Location: Bellevue, WA, with periodic travel to support other PACCAR locations
Start Dates: May 18, 2026, or June 22, 2026
Visa Sponsorship: Not available for this role (H1B, TN, OPT, etc.)
Job Responsibilities & Projects
Participate in daytoday HR operations and departmental processes
Create and maintain new employee files and records in SAP
Support recruiting efforts by scheduling interviews and coordinating background checks
Contribute to the internship program by helping facilitate networking events and peer mentorship opportunities
Support new employee orientation and onboarding activities
Assist with planning and supporting training events
Help plan and promote employee engagement initiatives
Provide thoughtful feedback and suggestions to improve HR processes
Manage and participate in special projects as assigned
Create engaging and dynamic communication campaigns
Support AIrelated and technologyenabled HR initiatives
Required Experience & Skills
Strong interest in Human Resources and business operations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment
Professionalism and ability to handle confidential information
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong problemsolving and criticalthinking skills
Willingness to learn new systems and tools (e.g., SAP, HR systems)
Interest in technologyenabled HR and AIrelated initiatives
Experience using marketing tools such as Canva or other related platforms
Education
Currently enrolled in a Human Resources, Business or related 4-year program with a Junior or Senior standing
