We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Office Administrator / Word Processor / Publisher. This role is central to the daily operations of our growing accounting firm and will support multiple departments across six office locations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable managing multiple deadlines, and has strong technical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Process and assemble tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Format and publish financial statements using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Manage and distribute client communications, including email correspondence.
Utilize multiple accounting and document management software systems efficiently.
Provide administrative and clerical support to partners and staff across all locations.
Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
Coordinate document flow between departments and offices.
Assist with scheduling, tracking deadlines, and workflow management during busy seasons.
Qualifications
Prior experience in an accounting firm or professional services environment preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (formatting, templates, document publishing).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Experience with tax software and document management systems is a plus.
Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential information.
Work Environment & Expectations
Based in the firm’s main office, supporting a team across six locations.
Fast-paced environment, especially during tax season.
Overtime, including evenings and weekends, required during peak periods (e.g., tax deadlines).
