Overview
The Senior Associate on our Local team is responsible for the overall execution and management of media efforts for assigned clients including, but not limited to: planning, negotiating, ratings estimates, relationship development and mentoring support staff (Associate/s). Also, the Senior Associate stewards assigned client placements as needed.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in TV/Radio estimating and negotiating media buys using Media Buying systems (MediaOcean, Strata, etc.)

Team-oriented and detail-oriented

Organization and multi-tasking skills

Communication and leadership skills

Strong work ethic and ability to perform under pressure

Basic media math knowledge

Full understanding of potential media Local Video/audio linear and OTT/Streaming opportunities in markets assigned including how they best work together

Extensive knowledge of the media and marketing business, particularly with experience in the TV and OLV investment space

Complete knowledge of media partners’ programming, facilities, rates and personnel in the market or markets assigned

Knowledge of estimating techniques and basic research

Knowledge of negotiating techniques

Excellent verbal and communication skills

Microsoft Word & Excel

Responsibilities

Evaluate all available linear and online media partners in the market

Understand and enforce minimum standards required of all media partners in terms of capabilities and measurement

Negotiate, adjust and monitor schedules to ensure delivery to client goals and estimates, meeting budget and delivery requirements

Deliver the most efficient costs while estimating the anticipated target audience delivery accurately

Execute all buys within client media specifications by the assigned deadlines to ensure making all client air dates

Update all current, on-air schedules to ensure station delivery within negotiated agreement and/or to respond to any new problems or opportunities that could develop in the market

Provide tracking reports and post-buy delivery analyses on quarterly and annual basis and negotiate any additional under delivery weight necessary to achieve goals

Fulfill client requests, collect data and information regarding television ratings/programming and industry/ marketplace/ technology trends

Manage and monitor clearance of discrepancies and accounting functions for accounts and markets on a timely basis - Maintain accurate records of buys, budgets, revisions, credits, etc.

Communicate pertinent information to media strategy and account personnel about assigned markets

Assist Supervisor(s) and Associate(s) in department and client supervisory functions as delegated

Provide guidance and support for Assistant Negotiator(s)

Review the Assistant Negotiator’s efforts to efficiently order schedules, receive avail requests, check contracts, accept appropriate make goods and handle any special information requests

Assist in teaching the Assistant Negotiator media math/estimating principles, computer skills, research methods and negotiation techniques

Compensation Range
$40,000–$75,000 USD

This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
