Recreation Center Cashier (Part-Time)
This part-time position works for the Recreation Department, performing admission, registration, and customer service functions at the Mt. Lebanon Recreation Center. Working hours will be a minimum of 3 days/week including weekends and/or holidays. We are currently accepting applications under this posting for both year-round cashiers at the ice rink and for summer (seasonal) cashiers at the swimming pool.
Essential Job Functions
- Greets and assists the public.
- Answers phone calls and provides information.
- Manages admissions to facilities through appropriate admission policies and procedures.
- Handles registrations, admissions including cash, check, and credit card payments through a point-of-sale system.
- Balances the daily transactions.
- Manages the daily facilities schedule.
- Operates sound system and makes announcements.
- Responds to emergency situations.
- Assists with Skate Rental when needed at Ice Arena.
- Assists with special events as needed.
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
Other Job Functions
- Performs all other work as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to quickly learn athletic scheduling software.
- Able to function under pressure.
- Knowledge of common computer programs and office machines, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work various schedules including weekends and evenings.
Required Education, Training and Experience
- High school diploma/G.E.D.

- Decisions on proper behavior relative to facility rules.
- Able to respond in emergency and high-stress situations.
