Studio Operations Manager
A Studio Operations Manager for a Pilates studio oversees the daily operations of the studio portfolio while driving growth, marketing effectiveness, and overall studio success. The role combines operational management, client experience oversight, and strategic marketing initiatives to ensure the assigned portfolio runs smoothly and maximizes revenue.

Location: South and East Bay Portfolio
Salary: $80,000‑$90,000 (full time)
Bonus: 15% annually

Key Responsibilities

Oversee training and recruiting initiatives alongside lead instructors; mentor and develop lead instructors.

Serve as a studio coach when needed, maintaining a minimum of 16 classes per month.

Manage day‑to‑day studio operations, ensuring classes run smoothly and on schedule.

Coordinate front‑desk operations, bookings, client check‑ins, and studio systems with lead instructors.

Maintain studio cleanliness, equipment maintenance, safety standards, and audit procedures; provide feedback when necessary.

Monitor class capacity and scheduling to maximize utilization.

Handle client issues, feedback, and service recovery.

Support hiring, onboarding, and training of instructors and front‑desk staff.

Ensure staff follow studio policies, brand standards, and service expectations.

Foster a positive team culture and maintain clear communication across staff.

Execute local marketing initiatives to increase membership and class bookings.

Collaborate with management on marketing campaigns and promotions.

Manage studio social media presence, community engagement, and brand messaging.

Develop partnerships with local businesses, wellness professionals, and community organizations.

Coordinate promotional events, open houses, and workshops.

Manage referral programs and membership promotions.

Assist with email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and promotional messaging.

Monitor website bookings and online presence across platforms such as Google and social media.

Track marketing performance and report on campaign results.

Drive membership sales and retention strategies.

Track key metrics such as class attendance, membership renewals, and client acquisition.

Identify opportunities to increase client lifetime value.

Ensure a welcoming, professional environment for all clients.

Develop initiatives to enhance member engagement and satisfaction.

Implement feedback systems and continuously improve client experience.

Monitor studio revenue, expenses, and profitability metrics.

Support budgeting and financial reporting processes.

Identify operational efficiencies that improve studio performance.

Perform any duties assigned by keyholders, including administrative support, technical support, and studio coverage.

Qualifications

Multi‑unit management experience (3‑5 years preferred).

People management experience in high‑end fitness, retail, or hospitality (3‑5 years preferred).

Group fitness instruction, personal training, or professional athletic training experience (2 years preferred).

Flexible and open availability with weekends and holidays required.

Must be able to work on‑site and travel to studios at least 75% of the week; 25% remote.

Full‑time, exempt position with an expected 40 hours worked per week (including classes coached).

Bachelor’s degree (preferred).

Proficiency in Google‑Suite and MS Office, specifically Excel and Google Sheets.

Ability to lift/carry a minimum of 30 pounds.
