Overview Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Controls Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Controls Design Engineer, you will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering support group, providing technical expertise and innovative solutions across various projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title and Location Job Title: Controls Design Engineer
Location: Wentzville, MO
What’s the Job? Initiate control system design from written sequences of operation.
Engineer and design pneumatic, electrical wiring, and hydraulic piping diagrams.
Design programmable logic controller (PLC) and human machine interface (HMI) software.
Tryout, debug, and provide start-up support for control systems.
Provide technical support for the installation of tools and equipment, and assist in training plant personnel.
What’s Needed? Proficiency in PLC hardware and software, with experience in Allen Bradley or Rockwell preferred.
Experience working in an industrial environment with automation systems.
Strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or ePlan for designing electrical diagrams.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and support multiple projects.
